Nallely Martinez

As Grants Officer for the Kataly Foundation, Nallely is focused on ensuring community partners are met with grantmaking practices that are people-centered, accessible, and rooted in trust. Nallely brings learnings from her years of experience in philanthropy, data management, community engagement, and designing equitable people and community-centered grantmaking approaches.

Before joining Kataly, Nallely served as the Senior Grants & Philanthropy Manager for Latino Community Foundation where she supported the management of all aspects of the Foundation’s grantmaking processes and practices to advance the civic and economic power of Latino families and communities in California. Her collaborative and inclusive leadership contributed to the strengthening of trust-based and values-aligned grantmaking across the Foundation’s programs. Nallely worked closely with the Latino Giving Circle Network, supported the design of LCF’s first statewide RFPs, and co-led the launch of LCF’s Rest is Power Sabbatical Program. Prior to LCF, Nallely served as the Grants Program Manager for Arts Council Santa Cruz County where she managed grantmaking programs to elevate BIPOC community organizations, artists, and culture bearers creating at the intersection of art and social change. Nallely has also held a grants management role with the Santa Cruz County Community Foundation.

Nallely is guided by her desire to create loving, connected, and reciprocal community spaces that contribute to a just and thriving world. She is a proud Board member of Prospera and a member of the East Bay Latina Giving Circle. Nallely lives in Richmond, CA with her partner and young child. She finds joy in exploring the East Bay’s secret stairways with her family, crafting, and hosting potlucks in her abundant wildflower garden with new and old friends.
